Two Christmas ornaments with pairs of animals from Noah's Ark - Ravens and Deer.
The designs by Paulette Stewart will build into a set of twelve which can be worked individually or be made into a large sampler.
The A5 leaflet has two large scale black and white charts printed 10 stitches to three centimetres on A4 pages. The patterns are worked in whole cross stitch and a little backstitch over 58 by 48 stitches (Estimate Fabric Size).
The Ravens and Deer are worked in 10 shades of Weeks Dye Works - ODF-2253 sanguine, ODF-2202 bullfrog, ODF-1110 parchment, ODF-1265 garrison green, ODF-2200 kudzu, ODF-1273 grapevine, ODF-1268 molasses, ODF-3860 crimson, ODF-1174 tin roof, ODF-2259 cayenne and two shades of Classic Colorworks CCT-219 hazelnut, CCT-198 stepping stones or DMC alternatives for all.
The models were stitched on 36 count linen using one strand of floss over two fabric threads.
