In this issue we have more news on patterns from Cottage Garden, kits from Bothy threads and a new type of bobbin from Permin. We also have a stitch-along from Bella Filipina. There's more developments with Anchor and the EU saga continues!
Oh, and we have a (happy) family occasion so we're taking a break for a week starting next Thursday (7th). We're also doing a pop-up shop at a retreat in Cumbernauld so we won't be able to despatch again until the 18th of November. Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience.
Patterns
The last but one of the Fabulous House series by Cottage Garden Samplings has arrived. It's a Haunted House of course. We have the required Classic Colorworks floss (Stormy Night) in stock.
In case you didn't already know the final house to complete the series is going to be a Log Cabin.
But if there's something you especially like, please let us know and we'll get it into stock.
Storage
Permin have come up with new wooden storage systems for floss and needles. We think the dachshund floss bobbins are particularly cute!
Bella Filipina Stitch Along
We have agreed to stock the beads and floss for Bella Filipina's Stitch-Along Black Water Sirens. As usual we have to wait for beads coming in as our US suppliers are very slow(!) but we should be able to produce the packs soon.

DMC and Anchor
The story continues with DMC announcing they're discontinuing more Anchor products.
We're sorry to hear they've decided to discontinue many of the Anchor floss ranges including tapestry wools. The UK supplier's stock is selling out quickly so if you have a project that needs Anchor Tapisserie wools then don't delay!
More EU Woes
We had just finished upgrading our system to please our EU tax calculators when they announced they were ending the service! Brexit strikes again!
We have been searching for a replacement but the world isn't exactly full of them and those that exist haven't exactly been helpful!
Despite this setback we plan to continue to provide a tax prepaid service into the EU so you don't have the delay of paying your country's customs charges directly before you receive your package.
EU customers can (and do!) still order from our website but patterns are currently restricted - a situation we hope to remedy soon.

Our apprehension of winter is much reduced in these days of central heating and well-insulated homes but it's important to remember that it wasn't always so.
A positive, sunny outlook is a boon when the logs aren't delivered or the central heating breaks down. Or in fact any time things don't go quite right!
